Proxy Networks Buys Juniper Proxy Remote Control Software Line
Newly formed Proxy Networks Inc. has acquired the Proxy Remote Control software product line from Juniper Networks. The companies have not disclosed the financial terms of the transaction.
Proxy Networks has assumed responsibility for the continued development, marketing, sales and support of the Proxy product family, which Juniper acquired as part of its purchase of Funk Software. In addition, Proxy Networks retains the core product development and sales teams, with Robert Paul- the principal architect of the Proxy products - joining Proxy Networks as chief technical officer.
Proxy is a remote control software product that lets users access and control other PCs or servers on a LAN/WAN or across the Internet without leaving his or her own PC. Proxy is available as a peer-to-peer product for one-to-one connections, or in a client/server version designed to allow enterprises to centralize remote access and control for one-to-many connections.
Proxy Networks was recently formed by de Anda Capital, LLC, a private equity firm with investments in companies such as Asurion and ServiceSource.
