Satyam Computer Services, an IT services company, has announced that it would implement a complete infrastructure lifecycle management (ILM) solution for Dubai Municipality (DM) engineering departments.
"The ILM solution will consolidate all the project activities and will allow effective lifecycle management of all our projects. The solution will help DM streamline its operations and improve relationships with our Trading Partners," said Yousif Shams, Head of Systems Development.
Satyam’s web-based, zero-footprint solution is based on Proliance from Meridian Systems. It is a comprehensive enterprise business solution on a native, service-oriented architecture platform. It features additional customization on a .NET platform, and custom-developed Crystal reports. The solution will perform several critical functions, including:
Analyze existing DM processes—manual and automated
Deliver a complete functional specification for configuration, reporting, data migration, and any required integration
Perform configuration strategy and design, project planning, and test cycles
Configure the Proliance application
Interface with planning and reports
Provide end-user training.
After implementation, a single tool will enable DM engineering departments users to manage the entire project lifecycle, including, planning, budgeting, design, scheduling, procurement, construction, closeout, and maintenance.
The tool will also allow users to monitor project progress and manage project cash flow much more effectively. Moreover, it will deliver critical business intelligence, providing enhanced visibility into the entire portfolio of projects, programs, and facilities for senior executives and mid-level managers.
