Juniper Networks Inc. has announced that PT Excelcomindo Pratama Tbk (XL), a communications provider in Indonesia, has deployed the M-series routers to improve the performance of its MPLS-based VPN services and provide network for the delivery of advanced services such as 3G Wireless.
"As the foundation of XL's innovative MPLS-based VPNs and the core of its future 3G Network, Juniper's routers provide the reliability, performance and scalability to enable XL to meet the demands of its customers," said Wan Ahmad Kamal, Juniper Networks sales director for Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei.
XL, a subsidiary company of Telekom Malaysia, provides cellular mobile voice and data services, as well as fixed-line offerings including Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services and wholesale Internet connectivity to local Internet Service Providers.
The M-series will support XL’s VPN portfolio, and also existing and emerging Layer 2 and Layer 3 services. The M-series multiservice routing systems will support multiple services to XL, without compromise on a single platform-enhancing revenue opportunities and minimizing operational and capital costs.
