BT, a provider of communications services, has announced the appointment ofa Bill Lam as the new vice president for its Northeast Asia operations, responsible for its overall business operations in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and China.
In this role, Lam will develop and execute business strategies and enhance the company’s capabilities for continuous growth, with an emphasis on excellence in customer service.
"For the important Greater China markets, Bill will take the lead in business development and strategy, as well as enhancing service delivery to further differentiate BT’s service from competitors. In Korea, a fast-growing market for BT’s networked IT business, Bill will work closely with the team to service major Korean multinationals," said Allen Ma, president, BT Asia Pacific.
In addition to this new role, Lam is president and CEO for BT Infonet China, a wholly-owned BT Infonet company, where he has been responsible for establishing a strong foothold in China for BT Infonet.
Prior to his current position, he held various senior management positions in international marketing and regional sales and marketing for Infonet Services Corp., based in California and Asia Pacific.
