Computer Sciences Corporation is planning to expand its operations in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, with a new campus spread over 10 acres, with a scalable build area of up to 1.2 million square feet. The first phase of construction, expected to be complete by March 2007, will house 3,000 employees. Subsequent building phases will expand Noida headcount to 4,500. The campus will feature world-class infrastructure and facilities and adhere to CSC’s global standards.
"India plays an important role in CSC’s world sourcing strategy and global business plans,” said Tom Kenyon, president and managing director of CSC’s operations in India. “The decision to establish a major campus in Noida demonstrates our commitment to leverage and aggressively grow our capacity here. It also enables us to continue providing our employees with the best and most productive work environment."
CSC, which began its operations in Noida in 2001, has several facilities and more than 2,500 employees in the area. The company has more than 5,400 employees throughout India providing services to clients all over the world. CSC’s other locations in India include Chennai, Indore and Hyderabad.
"The talent base and favorable business environment encouraged us to select Noida as the location for this campus," said Mr. Kenyon. "Other considerations for our selection include quality of infrastructure, improved living conditions and ability to scale up."
