Hewlett-Packard has announced that it will offer customers an automated network change and configuration management solution through a licensing agreement with Voyence Inc.
The solution, HP OpenView Network Configuration Manager, integrates Voyence technology to extend change, configuration and release management processes to devices such as routers, hubs and switches – regardless of device manufacturer.
HP OpenView Network Configuration Manager also tracks and reports on network configuration changes for the purpose of audit and compliance reporting. This builds on the ability of HP OpenView software to immediately remediate non-compliant configurations and provide single-click proof of compliance.
With the integration of HP OpenView Network Configuration Manager, it is extending the OpenView portfolio to provide a complete network lifecycle management solution and end-to-end automated configuration management of the data center, including network devices, servers, client PCs and their associated operating systems, applications and patches.
