SSA Global, a provider of enterprise business software and services, has reported third quarter profit of USD 4.6 million, or 6 cents a share, as compared with a loss of USD 9 million or USD 2.05 in the year-ago quarter due to hefty distributions to shareholders.
Revenue for the quarter jumped 8 percent to USD 194.6 million compared to USD 180.4 million last year.
Excluding amortization and restructuring charges, as well as stock compensation costs and preferred distributions, the company posted earnings of USD 19.1 million, or 26 cents per share, versus USD 18.4 million, or 25 cents per share, a year ago.
The company has earlier announced that it would be bought by privately held Infor Global Solutions, a business software supplier, for about USD 1.36 billion.
