A4S Security Inc., a provider of mobile digital video surveillance solutions, has announced the development of ShiftWatch eXStream a software architecture for its ShiftWatch, mobile video surveillance systems.
Serving as a 'security cockpit,' eXStream enables users to manage video and data from any location. With the development of this architecture. Video surveillance cameras utilised in transit systems nationwide are creating large and unmanageable amounts of video and accompanying data. The current solutions are not only labor intensive and costly, but also do not provide widespread access to the information important to meet the customers' needs. With ShiftWatch eXStream, data is uploaded to a central server and is easily accessible from any client system. The powerful video management system enables customers to pick and choose the streams of video they want to watch, using simple search capabilities by event, date, time, GPS location and camera view.
"This intuitive solution allows customers to view and control what's going on in their system in a way that is scalable to the enterprise -- without taking more people to operate," explained Dave Desormeaux, A4S Vice President of Engineering.
The wireless-enabled software also allows each mobile digital video recorder (DVR) to run eight or more cameras simultaneously while maintaining full motion, high resolution, 30 frames per second (fps) video, creating high quality evidence that significantly reduces customer's liability risk and operating costs.
The company expects to deliver its ShiftWatch eXStream architecture in A4S products starting in the third quarter of this year.
