EMC Corp. has appointed Bill Teuber, the company’s chief financial officer, as the newly created executive position of Vice Chairman. EMC said Tueber will continue to serve as CFO, a role he has held since 1997, and will continue to report to Joe Tucci, its Chairman, President and CEO.
Tucci said, "Bill Teuber has played a pivotal role in EMC’s ongoing transformation and sustained profitable growth. He has instilled excellent financial discipline across the company, helped to create a financial model that strikes the right balance between growth, investment and profitability, and built one of the strongest balance sheets in all of technology. He will continue to provide that leadership as CFO. In his expanded role, Bill brings an outstanding set of skills and experiences and will assist me in executing some of the key functions of my office."
EMC also announced new responsibilities for Executive Vice Presidents Howard Elias and Frank Hauck. Elias will lead a newly formed EMC Global Services organisation and Hauck will lead Global Marketing and Customer Quality. Each of them will continue to report to Tucci, the company said in a statement.
