Secure Computing Corp. has launched SafeWord SecureWire identity and access management (IAM) appliance, the access, authentication and compliance hub for the entire network.
The company said SecureWire provides secure access management for inside and outside the perimeter by consolidating all policies on a single device and enables configuration compliance that ensures only properly configured end-point devices can access the network.
"IDC research shows continued growth in the Identity and Access Management market," said Sally Hudson, research manager at IDC. "Secure Computing's new SecureWire appliance should provide a good fit with the requirements of many companies looking to streamline the way they provide access to their networks. IDC anticipates that there will be increasing interest in IAM appliance products as companies search for easy to deploy, cost effective secure solutions."
IDC defines the IAM market as a comprehensive set of solutions used to identify users in a system and control their access to resources within that system by associating user rights and restrictions with the established identity.
The company said SafeWord strengthens network connectivity with strong, one time password user authentication included in the base product.
SecureWire is available though Secure Computing distributors with prices starting from USD 52,000.
