Samsung has unveiled SGH-X820 the first in its upcoming series of its ultra slim line-ups. Turned sideways Samsung boasts the new phone is the world’s thinnest profile of only 6.9 mm. The phone is scheduled to release at the Sviaz ExpoComm 2006 along with Samsung D900, which the company claims as the world’s slimmest slider with the depth of only 13 mm.
SGH-X820 weighs 66 grams and comes with MP3 player with 80 MB, Bluetooth capabilities and 2 megapixel camera. In addition to these features, the phone has a video-out port that can be used to show pictures on TV sets or computer monitors.
The SGH-X820 is scheduled to be released in May in Europe and Russia and June in China.
Samsung’s SGH-D900 comes with a powerful 3.13 megapixel camera, includes business features such as document viewer, TV-output function, and also supports Bluetooth stereo headset (A2DP) function. The D900 also boasts large, vivid 262K color screens, or viewing the phone’s photo book. Also, an external microSDTM slot allows for additional storage.
