Trinity Convergence, a voice over internet protocol (VoIP) software provider, has set up its India development centre in Pune. The company's Pune centre will focus on developing two key products, VeriCall Core and VeriCall Edge, besides working on newer products.
"With the new centre we will be able to work more closely with our clients based in Taiwan," said Ajit Pendse, chief executive officer, Trinity Convergence.
The company designs, develops and licences embedded VoIP software solutions. This helps original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of communication and entertainment products introduce new products in lesser time.
"Increasing broadband connectivity will generate more demand for such gadgets and our software , in turn, will find greater application," said Pendse.
Market data indicates that overall consumer and enterprise VoIP market will grow from billion in 2004 to USD 38 billion in 2008, he pointed out, adding, industry statistics also indicated that the market would grow from 43 million VoIP ports in 2003 to 207 million ports in 2008.
