Autodesk has released the latest version of its solution for the manufacturing industry, the Autodesk Inventor 3D mechanical design software solution, which will be available as part of the Autodesk Inventor Series or Autodesk Inventor Professional software solutions. The company says the solution will enable global manufacturers to design better products by creating, managing, and sharing data to realize ideas across the design to manufacturing process, ultimately enabling them to get to market faster.
According to the company, the latest versions of Autodesk Inventor Series and Autodesk Inventor Professional deliver the following new features and enhancements:
- Dynamic Simulation
- Large Assembly Management
- Assembly Configurations
- Advanced Shape Description
The new version of Autodesk Inventor claims to deliver integration with AutoCAD electrical software, bridging the gap between electrical and mechanical design. The software also includes deeper integration with data management applications, says Autodesk.
The company states that the software enables customers to create designs based on the product's functional requirements. The functional design is intended to enable designers to start with a symbolic representation of a product and enter the requirements in order to test, simulate, and validate the design instead of the geometric dimensions of its parts.
Autodesk also announced Autodesk Showcase software, which is presented as a new enterprise visualization product to aid visually intelligent businesses in making design decisions. Showcase is intended to create accurate, realistic imagery from 3D design data to present and review designs required to make business decisions. With the addition of Showcase to the Autodesk Manufacturing Solutions Division, the company claims to offer a comprehensive transportation design solution that includes content creation, services, and, now, interactive visualization experiences. |
