Oracle has won a summary judgment against a lawsuit filed by MangoSoft, a developer of Internet-enabling business software solutions. Mangosoft had alleged that Oracle Corporation infringed on the claims of Mangosoft's patent, U.S. Patent No.6,148,337 and had sought more than USD 500 million in damages from the business software maker.
The United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire has ruled in Oracle's favor, stating that it did not infringe a patent held by MangoSoft. According to a MangoSoft release, "The Court's decision allowed Oracle's motion for summary judgment of non-infringement, and denied Oracle's motion for summary judgment with respect to its claims regarding invalidity and inequitable conduct."
