Microsoft's Origami project, scheduled for a March 2nd release this year, is creating a buzz on the web. Speculations are rife that this may be an ultraportable lifestlye PC, a new mobile communications device, a handheld gaming device, a smartphone / pda / sideshow assistant, and lots more. A visit to origamiproject.com provides few hints. A Flash animation pops up three questions: "Do you know what I can do? Or where I can go? Or how I can change your life?" It ends with the text, "Learn more on 3.2.06.". According to a Microsoft geek blogger, "I do know that Origami is the code-name for a new kind of device. Oh, heck, here come the NDA police, gotta go!..."
Another blogger had this to say, "...Origami is the code-name for a device that was introduced in 2001 at Comdex. He also goes onto point to a video thats available at DigitalKitchen. Watch this space for more updates on Microsoft's Origami project.
