Microsoft's Visual FoxPro 9.0 Final

Microsoft's Visual FoxPro 9.0 (VFP 9.0) has gone gold. Version 9.0 was made available to MSDN subscribers in late December 2004 via MSDN Subscriber Downloads. The full and upgrade versions are expected to be available by February, 2005. Microsoft Visual FoxPro 9.0 provides the tools for creating and managing high-performance, 32-bit database applications and components. Microsoft claims that its robust tools and data-centric, object-oriented language make it ideal for building modern, scalable, multi-tier applications that integrate client/server computing and the Internet. Microsoft has also significantly improved the Report Writer in VFP 9.0. One of the main improvements is extensibility, which provides hooks into the Report Designer and control over output mechanisms, such as previewing and printing.
