Wipro Unveils SOA Solutions Lab on Second Life

Wipro Technologies, the global IT services business of Wipro Limited, recently inaugurated its SOA Solutions Lab on Second Life, one of the Internet’s most populous virtual worlds.

The lab was inaugurated by Srinivasa Parthasarathy, Vice President, Multi-Line Applications and Global Chief Architect, Group IT Strategy & Architecture of Farmers Insurance.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Parthasarathy said, “We see SOA as a key technology for turning IT into a strategic advantage for our business.

"We are realizing the benefits of our SOA initiatives in addressing many mission critical requirements like faster compliance to regulatory requirements.

The SOA solutions lab showcases demos of key success stories in Enterprise SOA adoption, SOA assets like SOBay business platform; SOA governance models; Maturity model; business solutions. The SOA lab on Second Life will be used to collaborate with customers and partners, host virtual conferences and provide a mutual platform to infuse innovation in various spheres of technology and business transformation.
