SAP Introduces New Program for Midsize Companies

SAP Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) today announced a new Fast-Start Program for SAP Business All-in-One designed aimed at delivering rapid business results and lower total cost of ownership (TCO) for midsized companies.

“We are excited about the Fast-Start Program for SAP Business All-in-One in Asia Pacific and Japan. It is a truly valuable offering for our partners and customers in the region,” said Stephen Watts, COO and Senior Vice President of SME, SAP Asia Pacific Japan.

The program, which targets companies in the manufacturing, services and wholesale industries, enables them to get industry-specific business processes up and running in six to eight weeks and make better-informed business decisions based on greater visibility across their operations. According to SAP, a clearly defined set of pre-configured industry processes will ensure deployment is fast and more predictable.

The solution covers the complete enterprise scope of a typical customer. It addresses commercial processes like order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, financial accounting and management accounting.

The Fast-Start Program for SAP Business All-in-One will be coupled with the SAP database, SAP MaxDB, as well as a free choice of operating system, which SAP believes will help to drive down total cost of ownership (TCO) for an on-premise business solution.

Already available in Australia and India with a total of 14 qualified SAP Channel Partners, the program is slated to roll out in other Asian regions including China, the Philippines and Korea, with Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia in the second quarter of 2008. All the processes come in localized version for the countries where the solution is offered.
