Panasonic Unveils Lumix FZ18

Panasonic has been trying hard to gain a space in the highly competitive camera market. It has seen relative success in the camera business looking at its range and sales it has made.

Now it has launched Lumix FZ18 camera that comes with 18x zoom and a 28mm wide-angle lens. This 8.1-megapixel digicam packs enough features to satisfy both amateurs and professionals.

Weighing 360 grams without batteries and memory card, the camera steps in with a footprint that's considered compact for a camera of its class. The cameras metallic chassis looks like it can withstand normal wear-and-tear.

The camera comes with a Leica wide-angle lens and a 2.5-inch TFT LCD display that is big and bright enough for viewing even under strong sunlight.
