Oracle’s Oracle Technology Network (OTN) has reportedly bumped pass the four hundred thousand member point making it the largest developer community for Oracle in the Asia Pacific region and second largest worldwide.
Oracle's official, interactive online/offline community for Oracle technical professionals , OTN is a free resource that provides one of the largest and fastest growing communities of developers, architects and database administrators with technology downloads and information they need to build, deploy, manage and optimize applications. It offers a wealth of technology-focused resources and provides developers with instant access to free documentation, FAQs, discussion forums, podcasts, sample code, software and tutorials.
OTN’s new position in the India market also translates to an increase in Oracle’s total online community in the country--comprising customers, partners, students, developers, technical specialists among others--- to almost seven hundred thousand members.
“The rapid growth of OTN is a testament to the increasing popularity of Oracle software across the globe and also in India,” said SPS Grover, vice president, Technology Sales, Oracle India.
“We remain committed to leading one of the most dynamic and active development communities in the world while continuing to innovate and deliver software solutions that address real-world customer needs. The India developer community is a growing resource pool that is constantly churning out great ideas and solutions.”
Demonstrating Oracle’s continued commitment to this growing developer community, Oracle also announced the “Oracle Develop World Tour”.
