The internal SOAP processing engine is the core of the Axis2 framework. It provides a powerful extension mechanism, which can be used to add arbitrary functionality to the engine. Compared to its predecessor Apache Axis 1.x, both the engine and its extension mechanism were greatly improved. Many concepts of Axis 1.x can be found again in Axis2, but at the same time new features were added and a few new concepts like phases and modules were introduced.
At JAX India 2007, Thilo Frotscher will talk about how developing Web Service applications with Axis2, it is essential to understand how the internal messaging processing works and how it can be controlled, extended or changed. Thilo Frotscher a software architect specialised in Enterprise Java, Web services and XML. Working as a freelancer, Thilo spends most of the year contributing to the projects of his international clients, as an architect, senior developer and consultant.
He also delivers training, teaching both Java and Web Service technology. Thilo is a frequent speaker at international technical conferences, and has written numerous articles for software development magazines. He is one of four authors of the German book "Java Web Services with Apache Axis" and is currently working on a new book on Apache Axis2.
