Edin Kadribašić in a new post over his blog informs you about a new box for compiling PHP snapshots and PECL extensions for the Windows platform. He tells you about the box donated by AMD and Microsoft for the PHP development.
He further says, it's a dual core Opteron machine with 8GB of RAM running 64-bit version of Windows 2003 Server. This box manages to compile the full PHP-5.2 snapshot with all the extensions in less than four minutes. He says, the whole process of doing a CVS checkout, compiling the snapshot and uploading nearly 20MB of binary data to snaps.php.net takes about six minutes.
He has also managed to install PHP build specific scripts and libraries on the new box. He also says, that all the new snaps and PECL4WIN extensions are already being built on it.
