Poll Question: What is the Top Mistake That PHP Coders Commit?

 

 

The International PHP Magazine conducted a poll over the week, asking for your opinion about the top mistake that PHP coders commit. The options provided were:

  • Not escaping entities and SQL input
  • Wrong use of HTTP-header related functions
  • Syntax errors
  • No or little use of Object Orientation
  • Not using a Framework
  • Using old PHP versions

The first option, ‘Not escaping entities and SQL input’ has gained a majority with a considerable margin of 41.4% votes. The option ‘Not using a framework has come second with 17.2% votes. The third place is taken by ‘Using old PHP versions’ with a count of 13.8% votes. Last on the list is ‘Wrong use of HTTP-header related functions’ with a dismal score of 1.1%.
