Launch of Fabric 7, webMethods, APAC Update

In December 2006, Forrester published a new "Wave" report on the integration-centric Business Process Management Suites market. The evaluation includes the 13 integration-centric business management suite vendors and it declared webMethods to be the leader of the back.

"webMethods has put a lot into its new version of the offering, part of the Fabric 7.0 suite. In addition to a real SOA platform under the covers. A unified Eclipse design environment with separate perspectives for business analysts and developers, no-code drag-and-drop design, including a full-Ajax slick task UI, an enterprise metadata library—result of the Cerebra acquisition, integrated Blaze Advisor for business rules management", Bruce Silver, from the BPMS Watch blogsite

"The thing that we see in webMethods Fabric 7.0 is a straightforward development environment for building composite applications in an SOA fashion. The new product integrates all the tools linked to integration including the original Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) technology as well as ESB, but now includes BPM, Business Activity Monitoring (BAM), registry/repository and governance capabilities", Bill Swanton, vice president of research for AMR Research said.
