In a new post over his blog Alexander Netkachev informs you that PHP IDE developers have changed the name of their project to PHP Development Tools, to place it into the line of Eclipse project Development Tools with C/C++ Development Tools, J Development Tools, and others. So, if you use PHP IDE in your work, do not forget to update it to the new version of the project with a few bugs fixed and new features added, Alexander writes.
He demonstrates with illustrations how to update this PHP IDE. He first selects Help > Software Updates -> Manage Configuration, point on ‘PHP IDE Feature …’ under the Eclipse Platform// node and clicks ‘Scan for Updates’. If you are behind a firewall, you may need to specify a proxy server in Window -> Preferences / Internet / Proxy Settings he confirms. He also says that after successful update of PHP IDE Feature to PDT, update Zend Debugger Feature too. |
