Columbitech Adds Support for Suse Linux Enterprise Server

Mobile security solutions provider, Columbitech has revealed support for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 and 10. This new offering combining Columbitech Wireless VPN with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server enables customers to automatically set up any computer to be a VPN server and firewall, the company is quoted to have said.

The retail sector is recognising the advantages and cost savings of a Linux system and as a result, Linux adoption is rising. SUSE Linux Enterprise Server includes a set of server administration, configuration and deployment tools to simplify installation and system maintenance, the company said.

As well as support for Linux, Columbitech Wireless VPN supports Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Mobile 2003, Windows Mobile 5, Symbian 9.1, pSoS, DOS, Linux and VxWorks, the company added.
