Dell Unveils Home Media System |

Dell has added a desktop to its portfolio of XPS products, and introduced two new widescreen flat-panel displays and a Digital Home Media Suite. The home media system is powered by Microsoft Vista, and sports a 27-inch Ultrasharp monitor.
The Home Media Suite is based on an XPS410 CPU, and comes with 2 gigs of memory, a massive 1 terabyte disc. The system has wireless connectivity, a DVD burner and a new cable television tuner. The tuner is capable of receiving digital cable signals as well as HD cable, as per a staement issued by the company.
According to Dell, the Home Media Suite, available in the United States after the introduction of Microsoft's Vista operation system later this month, will include the following:
- XPS 410 core 2 duo, 2GB memory, 1 terabatye RAID disk array, DVD/RW
- Loaded with Windows Vista when available
- Creative Precision Monitor speakers
- Full suite of entertainment software
- Creative Live! Voice webcam
- 27-inch flat panel monitor
- Dell Photo All in One 966 printer
- Linksys 802.11 draft N band router
- Linksys powerline AV bridge
- Digital cable tuner for premium HD TV
