ATTO has revealed that its ATTO Express PCI UL5D SCSI host adapter and Celerity FC-42ES Fibre Channel host adapter have received the Novell YES CERTIFIED compatibility designation with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 and NetWare 6.5. Through the YES CERTIFIED Program, Novell assures customers that ATTO products are compatible with Novell products, ATTO said.
According to the company, the ExpressPCI UL5D is a dual channel Ultra320 SCSI PCI Express host adapter delivering up to 320 MB/sec. (megabytes per second) per channel and the Celerity FC-42ES is a dual channel, 4Gb (gigabit) Fibre Channel PCI Express host adapter delivering up to 800 MB/sec. per channel.
ATTO said that the ExpressPCI and Celerity host adapter product lines utilise ATTO’s Advanced Data Streaming (ADS) Technology. With a combination of features that provide controlled acceleration of large and small blocks of data, ADS manages latency and provides faster and more efficient transfer of data for streaming applications.
ATTO host adapters also feature the one-click ATTO Configuration Tool, allowing users to customise settings to achieve maximum performance, ATTO added.
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server provides a flexible and scalable Linux system to meet the complex needs of any data centre, Novell of Waltham, Massachusetts said. By supporting SUSE Linux Enterprise 10, ATTO host adapters provide users with more options for scalable, high performing data storage networking solutions running on a secure and reliable Linux platform, it added.
