Microsoft Ships Betas of 'Centro' and 'Cougar' |

Microsoft has wheeled out betas of its forthcoming 64-bit server product for midsize businesses, codenamed 'Centro'. The server, according to company officials is an x64-only version of Longhorn for SMBs. The technology is said to combine Exchange 2007, System Center Essentials, SQL Server 2005 and ISA Server.
Microsoft also released a limited Community Technology Preview (CTP) of Windows Server, dubbed 'Cougar', which is a part of Small Business Server. Both Centro, Cougar are to be launched in 2008.
According to Microsoft, the betas will also be available in x64-only form, and will integrate Longhorn, Exchange Server 2007, Windows SharePoint Services, System Center Essentials, SQL Server and ISA Server.
