Corel Bundles Firefox with WordPerfect Office X3 |

Corel has launched a USD 79 edition of its WordPerfect productivity suite, and unveiled a deal with Mozilla to bundle the Firefox browser with the software collection. The 'Corel WordPerfect Office X3 Home Edition 2007' suite includes home versions of the WordPerfect word processor, Quattro Pro spreadsheet, Corel SnapFire photo editor and organiser, WordPerfect Mail e-mail client, and other tools, the company said.
"Firefox is a perfect fit for WordPerfect Home Edition 2007. Firefox has a reputation for ease of use, security and user experience that closely mirrors the characteristics that attract customers to Corel WordPerfect Office X3, " said Richard Carriere, general manager of productivity for Corel.
Home Edition 2007 is available immediately for USD 79 after a USD 20 mail-in rebate direct from Corel. Home Edition users can upgrade to WordPerfect Office X3 Standard Edition for USD 159. Microsoft's Office 2007 suite, which will hit retail on January 30, 2007, includes a version targeting home users, Office Home and Student 2007 will sell for USD 149.
