HCL Technologies and General Electric (GE) have signed an agreement wherein HCL will set up and operate Global Development Centres (GDC) in India and China for GE over three years.
"We are excited about this partnership and will continue to deliver the near shore alternatives and LCC leverage to GE," said Shami Khorana, President of HCL America, a subsidiary of HCL.
“This is a significant win for HCL as it leverages our vast domain and deep technology expertise,” said Ravi Reddy, Vice President and Head of Enterprise Consulting Services Division at HCL America.
The company declined to give specifics, but such centers often develop software for use internally by companies.
