Epicor Retail Customers Topping Industry Charts

Epicor Software Corporation a provider of enterprise business software solutions for the midmarket and divisions of the Global 1000, has announced that Gartner a provider of research and analysis on the global information technology industry has positioned Epicor in the 'Leaders' quadrant in its recently released report, 'Magic Quadrant for Retail Point-of-Sale Applications for Tier 1 Retailers, 2006. Epicor also announced that 14 of its customers have been named top retailers by two leading industry publications, STORES Magazine and Apparel Magazine as well.

In a report by Gartner, "In the mature but demanding Tier 1 market for POS applications, it is not surprising that the majority of applications that meet the inclusion criteria for this analysis fall within this quadrant. Basic POS functionality is well established and deployed in highly distributed and challenging environments. The differences are down to ability to execute, today, in different markets, in line with demands of major trends such as segment blurring and internationalization. Vendors of applications in the Leaders quadrant are successfully articulating a business proposition that resonates with the vision and strategy of retailers and is in line with consumer expectations of the retail experience today and in the near future."

The Epicor CRS RetailStore 3.0 POS solution is a highly configurable application based on Microsoft's .NET architecture and designed to work standalone or as an integral part of the end-to-end Epicor CRS Retail Suite.
