Firetide Seeks Distribution Agreement with Comstor

Firetide has announced a distribution agreement with Comstor, a division of Westcon Group. Under the terms of the agreement, Comstor will provide worldwide distribution and a full range of support services for Firetide outdoor and indoor wireless mesh networks.

"We selected the Firetide wireless mesh solution because it enables rapid and easy deployment of high speed broadband services to practically any location," said Jeff Smith, vice president and general manager of Comstor U.S. "Firetide’s mesh network also supports an enormous amount of network devices and services and its interoperability between indoor and outdoor and wireless and wired networks is completely seamless. This gives our VAR community many new options in their wireless LAN deployments."

Firetide’s initial agreement, which originated at Westcon Group’s Comstor Singapore subsidiary, has since expanded to include worldwide distribution, "We are very excited about our partnership with Comstor," said Bo Larsson, CEO of Firetide. "In addition to its broad distribution base, Comstor has excellent professional services and training to support our systems integrators as we continue to expand globally. We feel that programs such as OneVoice will be instrumental in educating resellers as we bring our solutions closer to market."

Albert Tan, managing director of Comstor Singapore, agrees and plans to introduce Firetide executives to resellers at a company reception on August 18. "Firetide’s mesh network is the best solution for wireless video surveillance, and it also scales well from enterprise LANs to large municipal Wi-Fi installations," he said. "We want our resellers to fully understand how Firetide’s mesh technology works so they know how to recommend it for their customers."
