Wipro, which has recently embarked on an acquisition spree, has said that it is eyeing more foreign acquisitions to accelerate growth. In an interview with Reuters Wipro’s Chief Financial Officer Suresh Senapaty said it has plans to expand its operation in China.
Wipro which has acquired Finnish Saraware Oy, Europe-based retail solutions provider Enabler and the U.S.-based Quantech in the past couple of months said that it plans to acquire bigger companies now.
"So far the size of the deals has been between USD 20 million and USD 50 million. Going forward, our objective would be to take that average up rather than down," said Suresh Senapaty.
"So, we are in an investment mode, looking at opportunities for acquisitions and collaborations," he said.
Wipro’s business from Europe accounted for 24 percent of its April-June revenue and the business in the region is growing much faster than from United States.
