EMC Upgrades SAN Advisor to Extend SAN Validation and Design

EMC Corp. has announced the availability of EMC ControlCenter SAN Advisor 5.3, an upgraded SAN validation with design tool featuring support for logical SAN configurations.

The company claimed these enhancements enable customers to fine-tune both new and existing SANs for interoperability, device configuration and high availability, while reducing risks associated with implementing changes in the SAN.

SAN Advisor resource management software helps customers to keep up with compliance with best practices for SAN design, implementation and maintenance. It lets storage administrators:

Validate the existing SAN environment for Compliance
Model fixes or changes to the SAN in a risk-free environment
Produce an implementation checklist
Verify the fixes or changes are implemented correctly

The new ControlCenter SAN Advisor 5.3 starting at USD 5,000.
