Motorola Adds Enterprise Search Capabilities to Motopro
Motorola has announced the addition of contextual search capabilities to its Motopro mobility suite, leveraging the Google Search Appliance and BearingPoint’s strategic information management and system integration capabilities.
Adding contextual search capabilities to the platform will allow enterprises to make structured data sources such as ERP and CRM databases, as well as unstructured data such as email and word processor documents available for easy mobile access and search.
BearingPoint intends to work with Motorola to identify innovative ways to leverage the Mobility Suite to deliver business context, location and user preference requirements to increase relevance and accuracy of search results. BearingPoint also plans to provide business systems integration and management consulting capabilities that enhance the enterprise search solution by helping connect various sources of enterprise data and manage access control profiles.
The Motorola Motopro Mobility Suite contextual search extension will be available in Q4 2006 in Motorola Q Smartphone, HC700 rugged handheld series and other enterprise devices.
