Interwoven, a provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions for business has expanded its five-year partnership with BEA Systems; to co-market a solution designed to enable organisations to more effectively take advantage of emerging Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) business opportunities. The agreement will jointly help leverage Interwoven’s Composite Application Provisioning (CAP) Solution and the BEA AquaLogic and WebLogic Platforms.

SOA is said to help enable organisations to achieve responsiveness to customer needs, and can increase competitive advantage, through the delivery of targeted and dynamic customer-facing business services.

"Interwoven has long recognised the importance of SOA as the underpinning of customer facing applications. We’re thrilled that our partnership with BEA can help enable IT organisations to take full advantage of this increasingly important paradigm," said Foo Mao Gen, managing director of ASEAN and Hong Kong, Interwoven.

In spite of SOA’s transformative impact on both business and IT, many companies are striving to understand the full capabilities, opportunities, and challenges that SOA applications bring to their organisation. Further, new regulations mandate a high level of control and accountability for the code, content, and configurations reflected in those applications.
