Sybase Unveils Information Anywhere Suite for Converging Enterprise Requirements

Sybase Inc. a provider of enterprise-class information management and mobility software has launched Sybase Information Anywhere Suite, an integrated mobile platform, designed to enable enterprise customers to securely extend back-end enterprise applications and business processes to remote locations.

The suite supports a broad range of devices, connectivity modes and information sources. The suites Always Available architecture allows frontline workers to access email, data and enterprise systems and applications anytime, anywhere, from any device – with or without a ‘live’ connection to the corporate network.

Information Anywhere Suite is built on Sybase iAnywhere mobile technology.

Information Anywhere Suite capabilities:

Heterogeneous Mobile Email Delivery: Information Anywhere Suite provides push delivery of data such as email, calendar, contacts and tasks to mobile workers in real time. Supporting a variety of device types and groupware applications, Information Anywhere Suite also provides interoperability of its mobile email, management and security capabilities, relieving the compatibility issues that can be encountered when implementing disparate solutions.
Mobile Device Management: Information Anywhere Suite allows companies to centrally manage and support devices, applications, data and communications regardless of the available bandwidth. It creates a bridge of system control, user support and information flow between the frontlines and the enterprise.
Mobile Device Security: With Information Anywhere Suite, companies can protect data, mobile devices, applications and remote users against unauthorized access and other security vulnerabilities with methods like wiping data, disabling access to lost or stolen devices and encrypting data transmissions.
Mobile Enterprise Application Enablement: Developers and IT professionals can leverage Information Anywhere Suite to build custom mobile solutions that extend existing enterprise information sources (including databases, application and messaging servers and intranets) and applications (including SAP, Business Objects and Remedy) directly to mobile devices.

Information Anywhere Suite is expected to be available in the third quarter of 2006.
