Apple's iTunes music software does not seem to have come to the bottom of the compatibility issues with Microsoft new operating system—Vista. When Apple had launched the iTunes 7.1, it had posted a warning on the web site asking PC users against installing Windows Vista until Apple could fix the problems.
This disclaimer was quickly removed and a softer version of the warning was displayed that read the updated iTunes is recommended for use with most editions of Windows Vista.
"Apple is actively working with Microsoft to resolve a few remaining known issues," the posting stated.
Apple did not comment in detail, nor did it give a time –frame in which the issues will be solved.
The company told users that iTunes remains unsupported on 64-bit editions of either Windows XP or Windows Vista.
On the other hand, Microsoft has said it is working with Apple, to make sure its software is compatible with Vista.
This non-compatibility brings two rivals together to voice a concern that has gains for both.
